1.) What is a proof?
A proof is a 4x6 inch hard copy print of your image. I also offer ‘online proofing’ soon (~3 days or less) after your wedding. This link allows you to see all of your wedding photos while on your honeymoon (or after), and also pass the link around to loved ones. I send out a code to you via e-mail and you login from my site. The site also allows you and all you love the ability to order prints of any photo!

2.) What equipment do you shoot with?

I am naturally a Nikon girl. I photograph with several cutting-edge Nikon camera bodies (all 10+ mega-pixels). This is also in combination with several different types of professional lenses, high-speed flashes, and high-speed 8-gigabyte memory cards. [back to top]

3.) Do you have backup equipment?
Indeed, I would never shoot an event without replicas of the same equipment I use everyday.

4.) Do we get to keep the negatives/digital files of our photos?
Of course! When I say all-inclusive packages, I mean it! You will receive a high-resolution disc(s) containing all of your photos (the number stated in your package) no matter the session (i.e. portrait, engagement, wedding, or post wedding, etc). They will all be in .jpeg form for easy uploading and enlarging. You will also receive a copyright release I will sign stating you have the right to reprint any of the photos on your own. 5.) I have heard the horror stories of brides not receiving their photos for months after their
wedding…  How long after the wedding can we anticipate seeing our photos?

I pride myself in my turn-around time… If it’s for a regular session (i.e. engagement or ‘Love the Dress’) it is ~4 days. Your wedding proofs, discs, copyright release, and Coffee Table Book is ~1 week. It’s quite likely that before you even come back from your honeymoon I have already left you an e-mail/voicemail saying everything is ready! Having a quick turn-around time does not jeopardize the quality or quantity of your proofs.[back to top]

6.) What are the advantages of having a solo photographer?
The beauty of having only myself photograph your amazing day is that I know you… I have spent time getting acquainted with you in person: via e-mail, phone, and through the engagement session, so I have a keen eye to anticipate your emotions that day. Therefore, you’ll be relaxed, worry-free and best of all you’ll be able to act naturally since you’re only dealing with me throughout the process.

7.) How much time in advance should we book with you?
Good question! I pride myself on my superior customer service (and TLC to every client), so in order to keep that up I only book 40-45 weddings a year. I always suggest 12-18 months before your wedding date if you are booking a Friday or Saturday. But if you are planning off-season or destination weekday weddings… 10 months before is ideal. Portraits please book at least 1 month or more in advance.

8.) Will you (Miss Ann) actually be our photographer for the day?
Without a doubt! I am youthful, energetic, and passionate about photography so I will be there with a great big smile (no matter the conditions) - no one else! I have never missed a session/event in my 8 years of photographing! If the unmentionable happens to me before your wedding day - rest assured I have a photographer on-call.[back to top]

9.) What happens if we cancel or need to change our date?
For canceling: If it is a more than 60 days before the date booked then you will receive a refund for any monies given to that point minus the non-refundable down payment ($500) and minus any services performed from that point (i.e. travel fees, engagement session etc).
For changing the date: As long as I have your new date available you pay only a $275 change-the-date fee. Any other money put down still goes towards your package. [back to top]

10.)Can we upgrade our package after we have signed the contract?
Yes, we would simply revise the contract to state what you have added on. For example, adding an additional 50 proofs to your package would be $110.[back to top]

11.) In some of your packages you state ‘no time limits’ what do you mean by that?
That implies I begin when you choose. Example, I have started the day by photographing the boys on the golf course, or the ladies at the salon enjoying their mimosas, then through the evening’s activities… You are not blocked into a time period at all. I simply capture the details and essence your day offers throughout the duration. [back to top]

12.) Do you charge a travel fee for an ‘out of town’ wedding/event?
No, not if I can drive to your location and back within the same day. If it is beyond 2 hours of Northville, MI I may require a hotel stay. If the location demands air travel I will kindly ask you to pay for the flight and 2 nights accommodations in order to properly cover your day. [back to top]

13.) What is a ‘Boudoir Bridal Session’?
This is an intimate surprise session for your soon-to-be. Some ladies like to bring their veil, gloves, heels, robes, boy-shorts, her soon-to-be’s work shirt, lingerie, etc. It is a session done on a background with studio lighting with just you and me (unless you want to bring others). I give you poses as needed or you can model them out on your own. I usually shoot 50+ images for $275. You receive the high-resolution disc, copyrights, and proofs in time to give them for a surprise! This session will last for ~1-2 hours. [back to top]

14.) What is a ‘Love the Dress’ session?
We are making use of that amazing wedding dress again since ideally, you’ll never wear one again! It is an extremely creative, playful, interesting photo session where you are walking art!!

You may dance on a roof somewhere, you may carve a pumpkin, jump into a pool, we may light your train on fire, have you roll around in the sand or a pile of leaves - the possibilities are endless!!

Either way it is an amazing and unique session that is all about your dress being the canvas. I offer this session in my ‘Fortunate Fairytale’ package or as an add-on to any others for $275. This session will last for ~1-3 hours. [back to top]

15.) Miss Ann, if we want to book with you- what do you require to reserve our date for us?
As far as my booking terms go… I require a signed contract and a $500 down payment within 7 days of telling me you’d like to book. After that the remaining part of your package must be paid in full (minus the $500) a minimum of one month before your wedding/event day. [back to top]
